So many albums coming out this last days it blows my mind:

The new The National is great but even greater is the new Dream Syndicate. Steve Wynn has done it again with another guitar album where he is playing at his top and the songs are top too in the best Crazy Horse tradition. My favorite is The Circle.

How Did I Find Myself Here? by The Dream Syndicate

They're even playing in Belgium but I'm not sure I will be able to go Brick wall

I still have to listen to many others like the new Motorpsycho album which is said to be epic.

That's true Daydreamer but I haven't had this feeling of being overwhelmed by new fantastic albums being issued since the nineties (although 2016 was already a good year as well).

I went looking for new things today. Gonna check out the new Foo Fighters and Michael McDonald out of curiosity. I'm listening to. Michael McDonald right now, and am enjoying it more than I should.

Not over fussed by the new National album, to tell the truth. I'm far more distracted by my latest foray into early 1980s electronic and ambient music from Japan...

Beyond disappointed with the new Mount Kimbie. Only worthwhile tracks are the one with features, and even they aren't that great. Don't know why he went in this direction... Sounds like it was recorded in two days with the same 8 instrument pads and a drum kit.

Hopefully the new Godspeed! is more promising.

And again many good issues this week:

The Laughing Apple by Yusuf
in fact old stuff re recorded but very good

Electric Trim by Lee Ranaldo
not everything is great but however a very decent album

Uncontrollable Salvation by Pardoner
very good guitar/punkish album

and of course the new Foo Fighters which is a bit disappointing at a first listen but could be a grower:

Concrete And Gold by Foo Fighters

Solid day for album releases. New Foo Fighters isn't their best, but it's a great deal better than Sonic Highways, which is to say that I'm enjoying it.

Also been listening to this on repeat since it came out today. They're modern prog / post rock.

Albatross by Hayden Who

forgive me for coming across as circle-jerky. that is not my intention, though i understand if you doubt my sincerity. and intentions or not, yeah, it's kinda circle-jerky. damn.

but i think it needs to be said.

this is an incredible record, and if you haven't heard it, you should listen to it. it's in my top ten for 2017, and i think it'd be there even if hayden wasn't a user here, given that i'd come across the record.

I esp. recommend if you're a fan of Triangle Records (Balam Acab, Lotic, Clams Casino) or artists like Blanck Mass, Burial and Holly Herndon.
