Okay, so they lifted a few songs without giving due credit . . . not good. On the plus side, the brought a whole new sound and attitude to them, fusing what was the hard side of rock with old blues. This album was a hint of the heights they would scale on their next three albums.

Of the album's 9 tracks, 5 of them are 100/100 for me:

- "Good Times Bad Times"
- "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You"
- "Dazed And Confused"
- "Communication Breakdown"
- "How Many More Times"

Not too shabby for a debut album!

This is slightly off-topic, but does it annoy anyone else that the song Dazed and Confused is not in the movie Dazed and Confused, and that movie is filled with all sorts of late 60s early 70s songs

Listening to it now. God damn that guitar sound was so rad for 1969.
Hard blues rock doesn't get much better than this. Oh, and Plant's voice was at its absolute best, so full and powerful. On later albums it became much thinner and weaker.
