Kurt Cobain spoke highly of this album, and with good reason. This is arguably the album that started grunge music, and it remains one of the genre's best. It is a timeless classic, and it doesn't feel like it's aged a day. My personal favourite part of the album is the 1-2-3-4 punch of "Gigantic", "River Euphrates", "Where Is My Mind?", and "Cactus".

I'm a big fan of the first 4 songs. This album is full of demented raw energy paired with unconventional but catchy melodies. I once spent an evening with this album and a bottle of rum, tapping at my frustrations, and releasing them through the primal stomps, dadaist giggles, and unhinged abrasiveness. _________________

My top album from 1988, although not many good albums released that year ! No 19 in my overall top 100, just behind my favourite Pixies LP 'Doolittle'.
