Interesting. Hasn’t thought of them and I just checked their RYM page and it says there are exactly 6 in the year range acceptable to this project (1987 in rare case but really 1989-2001). I’ve added them to my now 50 artist consideration. I am leaning including Aphex and Autechre and while much much different sounds and styles of electronic, they would
Be my first 2 picks from that massive well of great electronic music in the decade. Followed by Squarepusher and now The Orb. _________________ -Ryan

Good luck with Autechre. Also there are other acts I could mention but don't have as much material. That would be Massive Attack with 3 albums, theoretically 4 if you count the dub version of there second album. As well as Gas with 4 albums. But I feel you have enough electronic music and some of the bigger acts that appeared in the late 90's get more material in the 2000's.

Yes! Gas and Massive attack are both great and both I had little short flings with way back on my younger years. There was a brief time where I was actually kinda sorta digging some of the more famous on RYM IDM and in the case of gas, ambient, and in the case of massive attack like trip hop stuff. But it wasn’t enough to keep my attention and I reverted to other music almost exclusively. Looking forward to revisiting some ambient music that I fell in love with in like 2013. _________________ -Ryan

And yeah if I go with Autechre I realize I am, indeed, taking a step into glitchy music and music that may be very tough for me to get really into. Still, I hear nothing but great stuff about Tri repetae and Confield so I am surprisingly excited to try to understand its greatness and, maybe perhaps, agree with the General as seeming of them being amazing. _________________ -Ryan

GET HYPED!!!!!
I will be starting these first round of albums soon and I am always willing to switch it up a bit as time goes on or if I find i really don't like a group or maybe its too much or maybe i think of someone better or am suggested someone else etc. I will be willing to switch it up a little. But the above is the basic idea of what album or albums i'll listen to for each round and what artists I'm delving into. I have many 2021 albums to listen to again and write some words on and I of course have Squid's debut tomorrow night to set aside some hours to. And so there ya go that is what you can expect from me in the near future.
Okay, PEACE! _________________ -Ryan

Wow. Intense list
Seems like you have avoided 90s nostalgia altogether in favour of some bold, uncompromising underground artists. Looks like they do all fit well together on that basis.
I'm definitely down for some Harvey, Stereolab and Aphex. I'll keep a weather eye on the rest (though some likely too heavy/ intense pour moi). Intriguing stuff all the way though.

Damn keep thinking about this concept lol
Wish I'd thought of Teenage Fanclub earlier. Fit the criteria perfectly 6 albums from 1990-1997. Some really good and seminal ones too. Some people find them boring though-its very much about appreciating the song craft with these guys. Don't think they would have made the cut ultimately, but was just worth a mention.
Also, Yo La Tengo was mentioned before. Yeah, there are those troublesome three 80s albums but they are kind of obscure (similar to early Beck) and almost never discussed by anyone! The good stuff starts with Fakebook (1990)-and yeah it's a great 6 album run to 2000. Again though, I'd stick to your guns as you have a really solid list. I just felt compelled to mention those two bands in passing as a fan of both of them.
