An alternative to the thread where you tell everybody what you bought. This is the Yin to the Yang:

Bye bye to the following vinyl LPs, all either going on Discogs on in my car boot sale box:

The Eight Legged Groove Machine by The Wonder Stuff

Owned since the earth cooled. Listened to it today for first time in ages. Has aged terribly. Binned

Sea When Absent by A Sunny Day In Glasgow

Still sealed - bought it on a whim and never got round to listening to it. Sampled a couple of tracks and didn't think much of it

In Limbo by TEEN

Bought for one track. Now I don't like that track. How fickle

Little Creatures by Talking Heads

Boring as hell apart from Road To Nowhere (and And She Was when the mood's right)

No Beginning No End by Alpha & Omega

Jimmy ditches Brit-reggae shock!

Red Mecca by Cabaret Voltaire

Hopefully this thread will create more debate, especially when fellow BEAers say 'what the feck are you doing getting rid of a Cabaret Voltaire LP'?

Yeah, A Sunny Day in Glasgow initially sounded like something I would like, but it just ended up being really bland. I don't blame you for that one.

To be fair, you'll probably find a buyer for that one somewhere on here.

If any albums on this thread are on CD (and I don't already have them)...I am happily accepting donations.

Very Happy

The only CV track I adore is "Nag Nag Nag". I frequently sing it to the wife.

Original Rough Trade too, with some wear on the spine. £7 +shipping if anyone wants...

Don't get me started on CDs. Got about 500 in the garage to sift through and shift on...

Au revoir to these two, shifted onto pastures new via Discogs:

King Tubby's Prophesy Of Dub by Yabby U

Sold the Blood and Fire CD for around the same price as it cost me to get the vinyl edition

Move To This by Cathy Dennis

Don't ask...

Cathy Dennis was great in her day. And kinda cute.
Didn't she write Can't Get You Out of my Head for Kylie Minogue?

Yup. All I can remember of her is "C'Mon And Get My Love", that chart-friendly club track she did with D-Mob at the start of the 90s.

This album came to me with about 100 other LPs I got as a gift from a guy who used be on the board at Coventry City Football Club. I kept the 3 or 4 that I wanted, sold all the 80s chart fodder for a quid each and had about 10 (including this, Annie Lennox's Diva and the first Shakespear's Sister LP) that I stuck on Discogs. This was the last one to sell. Now, you can believe that or instead believe that until this morning it was sitting next to Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo on my shelf. Your call... Smile
