Really thought about "Dark Entries" or another here, but it's hard to beat the spook factor of this "coffin creeper classic". The fact that Gothic Rock and "dub" ever came close to eachother musically is a feat in and of itself. I also just watched "The Hunger" for the first time, and saw that the video is actually just the first few minutes of that movie, which was pretty cool.
I'm not going in depth on Beach Boys or Beatles, because it's not necessary. I will defend my choice of Til' I Die though. It's absolutely one of the most depressingly beautiful songs I've ever heard. And lyrically one of Brian Wilson's most stark depictions of his mental state.
I know that leaving out pre-Revolver Beatles is a stupid choice, but it's my stupid choice. Not discounting any of that music, but these are some of the ones that really kept pushing pop music forward. And "Something" is my favorite Beatles song BTW. Also wish that the craziness at the end of both "Strawberry Fields" and "A Day In The Life" could have been expanded upon.

'Til I Day probably wouldn't be in my top four, but it's pretty much perfect, so good choice. My question is why that version of Heroes And Villains? What makes it better than both the single version and the Smile Sessions version? _________________ Add me on RYM
While this album is not quite as catchy as other Misfits releases, it still has that punk-metal (rock n roll) feel that makes the Misfits what they are. Die Die, My Darling is an example of them making a song with all of those qualities though.
Production 23/25
Completely appropriate for the kind of music that is being played. It's satisfyingly heavy while still maintaining the speed and clarity that you need from a great punk recording.
Performance 18/20
Hardcore, manic, and fun. Just listen to a song like "Green Hell" for an example of what level these guys were on.
Album Pacing/ Organization 9/10
Nearly perfect punk album pacing, but some songs are so short that they barely have time to make a mark.
Lyrics 6/10
They're horrorcore lyrics that have to deal with wolves and bloodshed. Nothing that makes me rethink my life.
Originality 8/10
The songs maintain an original mix of genres, but the lyricism leaves some left to be desired.
Total: 87/100
Best tracks: Earth A.D., Green Hell, Bloodfeast, Die Die, My Darling

Rating for the CD version of the album.
Nice! Love it! Personally I LOVER the lyrics. It's a big part of what makes the Misfits THE Misfits. They're headlining next year's Riot Fest!!!
One of the great decisions of the general populace was to consider "Sabotage" a great song.
Something that blended the Beasties Boys' punk rock roots and their hip hop conscience.
It remains one of the only truly successful blends of Rap & Rock in popular music history, and it is a truly great song for getting pumped. I'll put a live version on here.
