Oh yes, I love every track off the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack...except for Rockie Robbins' "Emergency," which is an even sloppier clone of Prince's "1999" than "I Didn't Mean to Turn You On" as performed by Cherrelle.

"Funky squaredance" on Phoenix' "United" is so totally out of context and lame. A last, painfult impression from an otherwise excellent album.

I've had quite a few debates with friends over this one. I don't love the song, but I admit it fits thematically (if not sonically) with the rest of the album.

As for me, I'm going with "We've Been Had" from my #1 album, Uncle Tupelo's Anodyne. It's not Jeff Tweedy's finest lyrical moment, and it has sort of an obnoxious guitar riff. I suspect that's sort of the point, but it doesn't quite work for me. But that's a very minor critique of what I otherwise consider to be an exceptional album.

The thought of Penny Lane and SFF on Pepper makes my mouth water. It would surely be the best album ever. I'd personally replace Lovely Rita and When I'm 64. I Am The Walrus is another terrific song from that year, but I can't see it fitting on Pepper.

I would replace Within You Without You by Strawberry Fields Forever: they're both slow so it would keep the same general pace, and When I'm 64 would come after a tense song just the same.

An while we're at it, let's just remove Love You Too from Revolver, shall we ? Smile They should have been more firm on Harrison indian caprices !

The Cure section:

"The Hanging Garden" is anoying on Pornography. The album is already so heavy that a removal of this song is hardly a luxury.

"Faith" would be amazing without the horrible (and similar) Primary and Doubt

No, no, without Within Pepper would not work. And I say this as someone who could not stand the song for years.

They could get rid of Watts on Piñata by Gibbs and Madlib. Sure, serves as a reminder for Freddie to stay humble, but it's such a jagged moment in such a smooth album. Either omit it, or trim it down to under a minute because it overstayed its welcome with two.

I actually enjoy both of those indian influenced tracks very much. Works well with the psychedelic atmosphere.
