Also, on the repetition, I do believe lots of the classical phrases were simply not worth repeating. I think Brahms for example would have a difficult time writing for a rock band...
Easily one of the great melodies in the history of music. That third movement alone was one of the great catalysts in my developing a love of Classical music back in my late 20s. It remains a favorite to this day; I never, ever tire of it. Sublime magnificence!
Out of the seven studio albums released by Curtis Mayfield between Curtis and There's No Place Like America Today, each one is a stone-cold classic, and he should be in the top 20 artists of all-time.
But on this site, three of those don't even crack the top 20,000

No I'm totally the same, Velvet Underground followed by White Light White Heat and then the Velvet Underground and Nico. WLWH gels together better than VUAN. European Son could easily been left off the later.
