Almost every conversation I've had with people about real punk or good punk, Green Day is mentioned. Meaning they are very adored in that scene. And they are selling a lot of records - although even the cult-favorite songs they made in the 90's are something I dig.

I tend to agree, I feel there's so much more to be found by exploring a past year rather than the current one.
