So, word has been getting around about a possible Beatles reunion/revival, featuring Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Sean/Julian Lennon and Dhani Harrison.

What are everyone's thoughts? Is this really going to happen? Is it even worth it at this point?

1. It's a terrible idea.
2. I seriously don't think Paul would agree to it. He's said, no emphatically many times in the past to this idea For reason, see above.
3. The article says the committee wants it to happen but all it says is that Paul wants to be involved (i.e he wants to play solo or possibly with Ringo for a song or two, but not with the Beatle substitutes) By the way, a live Paul and Ringo reunion happened last year at an All-Starr band concert.
4. If it does happen, it would be more entertaining if the wives performed instead. Laughing

Why the hell not? New material, no that would be a terrible idea but a performance could be quite moving. Essentially a Paul McCartney solo show with a more compelling backing band; I would watch!

Would much rather they use Julian Lennon but since it won't happen without Yoko's consent they have to use Sean.
I don't see why not, as long as they don't release a new album.

Laughing Yes, Who It Be was a favourite.

But seriously:
McCartney - Bass/Vocals
Townsend - Guitar/Backing Vocals
Starr - Drums
Daltery - Vocals/I think he plays some rhythm Guitar sometimes ?

It's meant to be

Definitely should be Julian - his style and vocals are so close to his father's it's eerie. There's no replacing George, though. He was really the most innovating of the band - the songs he composed had a completely different sound and, appropriately, often more guitar-driven.

I was going to say I'm not against a reunion...but then on second thought, what's the point? With George and John dead, there's just McCartney - Ringo wasn't all that essential to their sound, and was only responsible for a couple of their nearly 200 songs. There's just no point to it, unless to help Julian out - poor guy got short shrift both before his father's death and after it thanks to drugs and Yoko. Just not right.
