Are we talking physical format owning?
In that case
1. Beethoven
.
.
2. JS Bach
3. Mozart
.
.
.
4. Frederick Chopin
5. Astor Piazzolla
If digital comes into play some rock artists like The Rolling Stones or Dylan may end up there close to nr 4 or 5.

The Beach Boys...not sure how many I own but including live albums, box sets and compilations I must own over 25 albums of theirs.
For more recent artists it would be Sonic Youth, Mogwai and Stereolab.

Grateful Dead I have literally thousands of CD's of live material not to mention hundreds of authorized releases and studio albums. Then if you count CDs and records by the solo members it gets real crazy. I have hundreds of live recorded CDS by JGB, Phil Lesh and fiends and Bob Weirs various spinoff groups. Then I have a number of Robert Hunter Albums and concerts as well as mickey Hart, I even have Keith and Donnas work together after the dead. I have most of Tom Constantens discography, Silver (Brent Mydland). I even have a few tubes albums with (Vince Welnick), I have hundreds (500+) Cds of live Furthur (Phil Lesh and Bob Weir covering a few hundred shows all official release by gnomes and hobbits. Then I have the complete issued 2003 and 2004 and 2009 The Dead tours. I also have a number of live concert CDs by the other ones. And to wrap to up a few Bruce Hornsby and the range. So as you can see for me its easily the grateful dead and related Grateful dead bands.

I have 57 Frank Zappa albums! (I think there's over 100 officially released albums in all...so, my collection still has room to grow).
44 Bob Dylan albums.
And, gee, I hope you all are counting actual, physical albums and not some computer files. _________________ Speakers of the House DJ
