This album is quite an accomplishment. First, because the band somehow managed to avoid any kind of a letdown following the excellent original sequence of Undertow, Aenima, and Lateralus. Second, because the band has evolved, but lost none of their uniqueness and musical relevance.

Even at over 75 minutes, it's packed full of good stuff, and never wastes my time.

I stand firm with my belief that "Right In Two" is one of the greatest songs ever recorded. It's not a just a metal song; it's a 9 minute work of art.

The rest of the album is great as well, including "Vicarious" and "The Pot".

My personal favorite from them. So underrated compared to their other records.
Why has no one brought up how amazing 'Wings for Marie 1 & 2' yet?

Both Right In Two and Wings For Marie are absolute high water marks in the Tool catalog. Just fucking beautiful.

Rosetta Stoned, The Pot, Vicarious, Jambi are all great too, and Intension is a great Danny Carey track.

Bland, forgettable, and the biggest reminder that Tool has lost any sort of interesting dynamic. Pass.
