What will be the result of a war between U.S. and Russia

I think Russia will win easily cuz they have lots of scary chemical weapons showing technological supremacy as well as accomplishing in the middle east what even GW couldn't. Just hope I don't get gassed

In a vacuum cage match situation, I guess I'd put my chips on the United States. They vastly outspend Russia on their military and have complete supremacy in the air. I'm not an army geek, so I don't often think about these sorts of things or track them much. I had to do some Googling just now just to be sure of America's assets in this situation. All of that said, if war were to happen, it wouldn't happen in a vacuum, and there would be a lot more moving parts -- keep in mind that the United States has footholds throughout the middle east, and maintains missile bases in Turkey; that both of these nations are permanent members of the UN Security Council; that American international influence is probably significantly greater than Russia's; that both of these nations have a lot more to lose than to gain from direct conflict; etc. I don't consider myself all that well-versed in foreign affairs, but certainly a war between the Unites States and Russia would be a lot more complicated than a punching match.

Not sure what it is you're referring to specifically wrt Russia's technological supremacy, or what it is that Russia is accomplishing in the middle east.

Outside of all of this, however -- don't you find this question rather... unseemly? Perhaps in poor taste?
