I like Game of Thrones too... but just the books. Too bad GRRM went insane and can't write anymore Sad Also check out Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad.

The book I love the most is The Yogas and Other Works by Swami Vivekananda.

In this book has present a lot of important broblems of Vedanta and Hinduism.

Other book I love also is The First and The Last Freedom by Krishnamurti.

A book help people to absolute freedom.

Luke is one of both the easiest and most important Bible chapters to read. Reading it really helped me through some tough times. Even more than music!

Also Anna Karenina was a tough haul I am proud of. Skimmed the awful but short chapter 8 though, which would get edited out today. Are there any good modern books, or is it just Dan Brown now?

If you're looking a challenge, try Infinite Jest. I know it can sound pompous recommending it but I was thoroughly engrossed in the book the entire (very long) time I was reading it.
