Top 75 Music Albums of 1965 by baystateoftheart
Planning to start 1966 soon, unless people want to do a year together as had been discussed earlier and don't feel like waiting for me to finish 1994. |
I'm game for this! |
I’m down if we can recruit at least two or three other people to participate. Do you want to be the recruitment director? |
Maybe we can get Dihansse & KD to join in. I think it would be cool if we could come up with a “group” top 10 for a year via recs & dialog. I think it would be cool to start with 2010. |
No problem I'll join in[/quote]
Nice! I just asked 1Chief too!

A couple of the 1994 recs from Tilly:
The Sea And Cake by The Sea And Cake
Solid, warm, inviting indie rock record. Not surprisingly, it's very mellow, but sometimes to the point of lethargy, which prevents me from giving it a better review. 3.5/5.
Cardinal by Cardinal
This is a great little album filled with crystalline indie pop confections. Strong vocals and dreamy instrumentals. It will end up high on my chart for sure. Thanks for the awesome rec! 4/5.
Will post the remaining three later, and then start digging into the recs from Skinny. _________________ Add me on RYM

Really surprised you didn't dig Sea & Cake (doesn't seem lethargic to me at all), but psyched you love Cardinal.

I dug The Sea And Cake. I thought it was quite good but not great. If I didn’t like it my score would have been 2.5 or below. _________________ Add me on RYM

Just checked out another one:
24 Hour Revenge Therapy by Jawbreaker
Really good punk album with lots of energy and some standout tunes. A contender for punk album of the year. I can see why you thought this was more representative of what the genre had to offer in 94 than the three RYM gave me. 3.5/5. _________________ Add me on RYM
