And don't forget;

Funkytown. By Lipps Inc.

That's got to be the most extravagant use of cowbell in history. It actually plays a little Melody and does all kinds of shit.

Hahaha great, had to listen to be sure, even though I've heard it a thousand times and the cowbell is omnipresent. Still a great tune

I know. I just listened to Funky Town about 5 times in a row. It might be the best Disco record of all time. It's so fun.

Thanks to you, cowbells have just come to existence for me, and now I’m scanning my memory in search of songs.
First songs that comes to my mind :
Tainted Love (Soft Cell)
U-mass (Pixies) which this thread helped me to put a name on.

Then, from the back of my mind, and with a little help from internet, come the following :
The Perfect Kiss (New Order)
Beds are Burning (Midnight Oil)
Holiday (Madonna)
It’s so Easy, Welcome to the Jungle (Gun’s N Roses)
New Frontier (Donald Fagen)
Cream (Prince)
In The Streets (Big Star)
Raw Power (Stooges)
Games People Play (Alan Parsons Project)
Rock Lobster (B52’s)
Helter Skelter & Everybody’s Got Something to Hide (Beatles), Honky Tonk Woman (Rolling Stones) already mentionned

I didn’t suspect all these songs I love had cowbells..A bloody nice instrument !

This cowbell got me into PYG. Great song and fantastic band.
Ignore the video, no idea what that's about.
