There's a local band here in Utah called Lost in Bourbon I really like. Their live show is fantastic.

He moved up here from Louisiana.

Best song is Never Been Any Reason by Head East

Great song to be sure. But Head East is from Illinois, nor do they really have a southern rock sound.

Losing your bourbon would seem to be a natural byproduct of moving from the south to Utah!

I dig ‘em
Thanks for the link
Will keep in mind when I pass through Utah, although I don’t generally get down to Provo; my usual stop is Ogden.

You bet. We played with them at Battle of the Bands and they are way better live.

Provo really is only for people who like the outdoors and because about 50% of the population is college students from two universities (roughly 80k students), the music scene is easily the best in Utah. Other than those two things, Provo is a near terrible place to hang out.

Salt Lake is totally more interesting. I've only been to Ogden a few times, but it felt like a ghost town. Not sure what made it boom and then slowly die. I guess they have the Raptors (Dodgers farm team). But Provo/Orem area has Angles farm team.

Anyway, that's WAY more info than anyone really cares to know... haha

THIS is Southern Rock. Drive-By Truckers are the keepers of the torch.
