I really don't listen to the Guns anymore, but I used to like them a lot. Kinda forgot about them tbh, but seeing this makes me want to get back to their music. I recall the two Use Your Illusion albums are less consistent than Appetite, but they do contain pretty cool songs, most notably a lot of ballads... Which is OK I guess. Not sure why they needed to put Don't Cry on this one too though.

Some unbelievable songs on here. Civil War, Locomotive, Estranged are GNR at their peak for me.
I haven't listened to this record all the way through in a long time. I'd like to revisit because it must be 5 years or so. Although my opinion on My World probably won't change. _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.

Can't remember locomotive, but the other two are good. But why listen to this when you can just listen to the debut? They really lost the plot on these two records. Actually you could be mine is good too. Mayb I should check it out again, I've not heard it in over 20 years.

use your illusion 2 is amazing.
'civil war' is a shattered landscape painting.
'knocking on heavens door' turns dylans song into spaghetti.
'estranged' is 9 minutes long and is riveting.
2 songs-- you could be mine and yesterdays--- show the the gunners could still focus.
after producing this album, it was the beginning of the end.
