Daft Punk's song Robot Rock starts out so cool but quickly grows a little too repetitive for it 5 minute run time. The music video edits it down to a more easily digestible 3 minutes.

What songs do you think start strong but fizzle out?

The End... by The Doors. It's twice as long as it needs to be. About halfway through I always wish it ended.

You don't like all of the "fucks" and "kills" at the end of "The End"?

Yeah I do like that part, but he didn't have to wait 12 minutes to do it. He could have done it after 6 or 7 minutes.

The first minute of this cover couldn't be better. After that, its all downhill from there.

God bless you always!!!

Holly

P.S. My late beautiful precious Steve Sanders is who I think brought it all to life.

Many people would say the same about Layla and Hey Jude.

Yeah, but I think that Layla keeps the momentum going all the way to the end. And Hey Jude kind of does.

There's one that I think works the opposite way.
Hotel California Fizzles out at the beginning and gets better at the end. heh heh

I would agree that song works better as it goes along.

Gangsta by Tune-Yards has one of the coolest intros ever and then it kinda goes downhill. Still a cool song though. I also think Beetlebum by Blur has a really cool intro and then the chorus is a bit underwhelming.
