I didn't think there was anything offensively bad about it. I thought it was a creative list from a different point of view.

See that's why I never told anyone I listened to jazz.

Totally with you on that Laughing Can't tell you how many people I've met that I learn very early in a conversation about music how limited my recommendations need to be kept -- especially with Jazz. Uniformly (almost), these are the one's that say they "listen to everything" which is, apparently the token response nowadays (regardless of reality) when asked what you listen to. I usually interject: "Really? Everything? So you're into [insert any Jazz album other than the standards most everyone has heard/heard of]. Every now and then, I'm pleasantly surprised they were pretty serious. But what it usually means is "I casually listen to multiple stations on satellite radio " Smile

Exactly exactly. And those satellite radio stations play the same bunch of songs just like fm radio does too.

I gave up saying I listen to everything a while ago. I think it was the point that I found myself enjoying every album ever released aside from Sittin' On Top of the World by Leann Rimes. I just can't lie to people anymore. I don't listen to everything.

Jazz is alive and well, friends.
