Of all these classic Prog Rock songs, which one do you think is the best?

The ones that I listed in the poll aren't necessarily all MY favorites, but I was just trying to come up with a list off of the most popular and well known ones that people consider classics. BUT THIS WOULD BE MY TOP 10....

A WHITER SHADE OF PALE.. PROCOL HARUM
I'VE SEEN ALL GOOD PEOPLE/ YOUR MOVE... YES
NIGHTS IN WHITE SATIN.. MOODY BLUES
AND YOU AND I... YES
ROUNDABOUT... YES
LUCKY MAN.. ELP
FROM THE BEGINNING... ELP
STILL YOU TURN ME ON... ELP
IN THE COURT OF THE CRIMSON KING.. KING CRIMSON
I'M JUST A SINGER (IN A ROCK AND ROLL BAND).... MOODY BLUES

I get the concept of the poll and it's cool and good, but I'm not sure it's very reasonable to compare a 4-minute long like Shade Of Pale, as great as it is, to 20-minute beasts like Supper's Ready ou even Thick As A Brick which is litterally a whole album lol

I voted Supper though.

yeah I know what you mean, but I think the longer ones and the shorter ones are equally classic. And I was only allowed to put a certain number in the poll. I originally had about 30, but it kept saying I had too many, so I just kept what I thought were the most well-known ones. the ones that everyone would recognize.
And my personal favorite is A Whiter Shade of Pale. It always has been.

i'm quite fond of Genesis: The Cinema Show

eta: it's really hard to pick from 20. i think this poll would work better as one of those "users send me a list of your top 100, and i'll compile them" posts. anyway, there are certainly some great songs in the list provided.

Too many from the biggies to even narrow it down within a particular group, let alone the whole genre.

Every one on the poll list is great, but here's a few of my (previously unmentioned) tops:

Rush - Natural Science
Yes - Sound Chaser
UK - In the Dead of Night
Fates Warning - Through Different Eyes
Dream Theater - Take the Time
Steve Hillage - Solar Musick Suite
Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond
Steve Hackett - Shadow of the Hierophant
Kansas - Song For America
Premiata Forneria Marconi - Appena Un Po’

Transatlantic - Duel With the Devil: I. Motherless Children/II. Walk Away/III. Silence
Camel - Lady Fantasy
Soft Machine - Moon in June
Magma - Mëkanïk Kömmandöh
Emerson Lake & Palmer - Aquatarkus
Änglagård - Jordrök
Jethro Tull - Black Sunday
Gong - Master Builder
Caravan - Nine Feet Underground
King Crimson - Larks' Tongues in Aspic

I just heard camel lady fantasy for the first time just recently. Was real good. I always thought I didn't like camel, but I was wrong.

Surprised Genesis - Firth of Fifth isn't an option. That would probably get my vote, but I went with Carpet Crawlers in its absence.

I agree. I'd also have chosen Supertramp's Crime of the Century and King Crimson's Epitaph over the tracks bobby chose but it is hard to make a short list and get everyone happy so... I voted for King Crimson's Starless, which with me tie with my other favourite: Pink Floyd's Shine on you.
