Incredible album!

While Parliament/Funkadelic are primarily funk (as the name would indicate), this album leaned more toward rock than their other albums.

And in this case, that's a very good thing as it allows Eddie Hazel to fully showcase his incredible talent on the guitar. Put him right up there with Jimi on this one. The opening and closing instrumentals are among the greatest musical statements in music history. Simply unmatched.

Fuck I've been meaning to listen to this album for a long time. I adore the title track though, it's brilliant.

The only thing that keeps me from giving this a ten is those godamn farting noises on the last track. I just can’t get over them.

Just listened to it all. Loved it for the most part. The title track, as I mentioned previously, is just spectacular. One of the seminal moments for guitar in the last 50 years. The rest of side one after that contains some of the most consistent feel-good funk I've ever heard.

I do agree with you though, DJ Tommy, what the hell are the farts doing at the end of Wars Of Armageddon. Loved everything about the track other than that.

I still haven't listen to this record. And I enjoy a good amount of funk music. Will get to it eventually.
