New Mount Eerie in March. Wasn't expecting that. 6 track album of longer tracks by the looks of it, looking forward to it.

... and are we expecting another 5 albums from King Gizzard in 2018?
Or, are they going to take a rest and tour.

I really hate bashing him, but wtf is Timberlake doing. This is godawful stuff. I wasn't sure if he could hit lower than Can't Stop The Feeling, and then he released Filthy, so I was all like 'well, he just missed, neither is unforgivable, whatever'.

But Supplies?????????????!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!??!! This is, unquestionably, in the top 10 worst songs I have ever heard. WHAT ARE YOU DOING JT.

I was so hoping his new material would be more like Bon Iver Crying or Very sad

The new Ty Segall album is incredible.

Freedom's Goblin by Ty Segall

it’s very guitar based but also has a very jazzy atmosphere. Especially the last very long track is very good and veers off in any possible direction. Also the rest of this double album is very diverse: from Black Sabbath to Beatles to disco it's all there and even better with all these genres the album remains a unity and also remains typical Ty Segall and not a copy of other music.
It's currently my top album of the year and maybe even of the decade. And after a second listen it gets even better. This will be something for my overall top 100 as well: a masterpiece and I really hope this album gets all the praise it deserves.

I also liked the New No Age:

Snares Like A Haircut by No Age

And the new Calexico:

The Thread That Keeps Us by Calexico

I'm keeping an eye on Portland this year. The lovely Haley Heynderickx has her debut album coming this year. And Modest Mouse, although they haven't announced anything, are overdue for a follow-up to StO

I haven't kept up with many new releases but I think you all who can get into some weird dub might be interested in this one https://bokehversions.bandcamp.com/album/ymfees
