- Post subject: Best Year For Music- The Final Round!! RANK THE YEARS
|
We made it! From the first round of 1959-69 to the new millennium we finally have the 7 pieces in place for our final round. Thanks again to everyone who made this a unique and educational couple months for me and hopefully a number of other users on the site.
Now, for the final round there will not be a poll. It's up to you to rank our final 7 years. No matter how you choose to present them as a list (1-7 or 7-1) please number them in order so I know how to score them. I encourage you to order all 7 years because the placements of certain years may make a difference while gathering total points. Your first place year will receive 7 points, second place gets 6 points... etc... But only if you list all 7 years.
You'll have plenty of time to organize them before the deadline: March 1, 2018
Also, because at the end of the day this entire series of polls has been for the sharing of knowledge, list your favorite album(s) from each year if you so choose.
Here are the years:
1967
1969
1971
1977
1991
1994
1997

I only added this last week, but I feel people should know about this rare album from 1969 that has one of the most badass album covers ever. The music is pretty good too.

This has been a really fun topic all throughout and I am glad that the decades that have survived are the 60's, 70's and 90's although the years chosen aren't all my favourites at all. Anyway, here it goes:
1, 1969 - I already defended this year on previous topics, so I will just say wow, so many legendary bands from different rock genres at their peak.
2. 1997 - I will give a chance to the most recent years, I mean, there have to be top class years since I was born! OK Computer and Sound of Lies make this year go #2 for me.
3. 1967
4. 1971
5. 1991
6. 1994
