For a new notice, I finally have a record from the 1960's that I have given a 100. That album being Frank Zappa's Hot Rats. Love the ever loving hell out of the record. With its vibrant as well as head nodding grooves with the quirky nature of the players, I need to re-listen to this asap as well as get into Zappa's other works. Next comment I make on the forum will be the albums from the 70's.
Now I get to talk about the 70's records I enjoy immensely and this is where it gets weird. Have around a couple albums less than the 1980's. However, I end up getting 10 albums with a 100 while the 80's only have 4 albums with a 100. If anyone is curious why I haven't tackle a huge chunk of the decade it has to do with how genres like funk music takes a huge precedent in my wheel house due to finding a lot of those types of albums. Now the only one I might change out of this pick as of now is probably Blue. This is due to loving Hejira significantly a lot more with its tendencies with jazz rock. That also explains why I have two Steely Dan records with this grade. Though Blue was my first Joni record under my belt. Also have a few electronic albums from this decade I found really impressive like Y.M.O's Solid State Driver and Tangerine Dream's Ricochet. Do want to give Vangelis or Kraftwerk's work a shot as well as other albums that get highly regarded from here from other genres. Finishing it right now. And man this was incredible. The sounds. The vibe. It is gorgeous. Hell this record could be looked as the prototype for new age. Thank you very much. And I will add this to the 70's post I made.
I don't know. That happens from time to time. Glad you are enjoying this a lot. That is realistically the only thing that matters now. The fact you have listen to. So now you can buy it when you get the chance.
