Hi! I've been a member for a while, so my profile tells me, but I've been an inactive member up 'til now. Just looking at charts, not really contributing. Having realised that I can't find anyone in my local area who shares my love of all things music, I'm going to try online. This would seem to be the place to do it!

Not really sure how these things work, as I've never done a forum before, but I'd be interested in connecting with anyone who wants to trade compliments and insults about musical taste, give and receive titbits and facts, and share and accept recommendations.

My tastes are wide and varied, and I spend almost every spare penny on music (which isn't a lot at the moment). Just to give a vague idea of where I'm coming from musically, here are 10 (genuinely) randomly chosen albums from my collection (no editing to make me sound cooler):

Waiting For The Sirens' Call (New Order)
High Ceilings And Collarbones (Juan Zelada)
The Drift (Scott Walker)
Seven Trio Sonatas (Dietrich Buxtehude)
NOW! 98 (Various Artists)
Strange And Beautiful (Various Artists)
Go Remixes (Moby)
Feelin' Fine: Gems From The Columbia Vault (Various Artists)
Acoustic Moods (Various Artists)
The Blueprint (Jay-Z)

If I sound like your kind of guy, get in touch! I'm always looking for new music to like and someone to discuss it with.

Cheers,

Ian

Hi, welcome to the site. Nice eclectic selection. The Go Remixes caught my eye, love the Jam & Spoon dub mix. Cool

Bruh, I will say give the site a genre that you aren't versed in and individuals will give you selections. Also welcome. This site is pretty tame, so you will probably enjoy being here.

Thanks.

albummaster, my Go remixes don't include the Jam & Spoon one, but I've always been entranced by the Rainforest Mix.

Luiguii, I'll try the genre things. When you say the site is pretty tame, do you mean in terms of communications or in terms of the music selection?

Cheers,

Ian
