Well, I couldn't say that I love both entire albums, but Heart and Soul by Huey Lewis is fantastic. I don't remember anything else by them being better than that. It's great. I never got sick of hearing that song. And Little Miss Can't be Wrong is awesome too. When people say they hate that song they've got to be lying. Heh heh

Serious is in quotes not to poke fun at those people at all by the way... kinda more making fun of the word serious... anyway, my sense of humor usually eludes.
Anyway, there are many who take gaming music/8-bit music, etc. very seriously. |
bobbyb5 wrote: | Yeah, Electro was pretty horrifying. One of the worst electronic Styles ever. And commercial house is pretty horrifying too. But the different underground styles of House are mostly great. I listen to a lot of it, and after a while you learn how to weed out the crapola stuff so you can avoid it. Heh heh. |
I'm not doubting that there are people who do take it seriously, but I haven't met many, and I find that the main stream electro music I used to listen to doesn't warrant to be taken seriously. I'm sure there's some underground stuff from those kind of genres that can be taken more seriously, but like any genre, some of the music from it is far from great, and it seems as though when it comes to electro/techno, it's the mainstream stuff (at least to me, but what do I know).

I love Two Princes that is a classic 90s song and triggers many good memories
Whereas Fore! by Huey Lewis was a much bigger album in UK I own both Fore! and Sports and when I'm in a cheesy 80s mood I bung em on.
I like the mad monologue about Huey Lewis which Christian Bale gives in the film American Psycho. That is cool.

liking music isn't embarassing. but this whole thing with trying to make the act of listening to very popular music into something rebellious... that is embarassing. I am free from the shackles of other peoples opinions, look at me escaping because I am eager to hear what you think!

The Time Flies album from this very act is one of my most favorite non country releases.
God bless you and the guys always!!!

P.S. I love "The Heart Of Rock And Roll", "Heart And Soul", "Bad Is Bad", and "I Want A New Drug" from the Sports album. _________________ Me & my favorite singer James Otto

Blurred lines - Robin thicke, pharrel and T.I.
It's so catchy and I actually love the line 'what do we need dreams for, when you've got them jeans on'
I don't put it on myself, but when I hear it somewhere I'm groovin.

Maybe if you like it just because other people told you that's dumb as you say, but if you honestly like music that's popular I think that's fine

oh I'm not saying anyone is liking something because they were told to. I'm saying that things are popular because a lot of people like them. So it seems weird to be like "yeah I'm a rebel, I like things that are loved across the world"
