Good shout on World In Action. Personally (and with my nostalgic specs on recalling the halcyon days of kids TV as a pre-teen) either of these would be right up there (the first one still sends shivers down my spine):
Of course, if you like a show you start liking the music sooner or later. I could not stand Sopranos or Games of Thrones at the beginning, but now I find them very fitting.

Theme from M.A.S.H. (Suicide is Painless) and Cheers were the best ones from my youth. I have never seen the show with The Monkees but I really like the song which was supposed to be the theme song.
