June, 2018 was a phenomenal month for Kanye West. But let's be honest, he might have pulled off the greatest month in the history of the genre. Ye and Kids See Ghosts were both acclaimed to some degree by fans and critics, and his work as a producer and collaborator on Pusha-T's Daytona and Nasir by Nas is worth noting as well.

Has there been a month's worth of releases by one artist (in hip hop or otherwise) that compares to what Kanye just did? Obviously I don't want to be a prisoner of the moment, but I can't help but be impressed especially given the months of drama leading up to Yeezy's return to music.

To be honest, I have not heard any of those, maybe should check the Nas. How about the greatest week? In one week Marley Marl produced Eric B is president and My Melody (Eric B & Rakim), Make the Music With Your Mouth Biz ( Biz Markie) and The Bridge by MC Shan. Not a bad weeks work!

On April 4, 1964, The Beatles held the entire top 5 on the Billboard singles chart. They also held 6 other spots, giving them 11 of the top 100. They held the number one spot with 3 different songs for the entire months of February, March and April.

Pretty dominant...

This is the type of thing you need to analyze when determining the greatest month... I'm guessing that who ever invented hip-hop had the greatest month until something like this happens

I've rated the ninth 90/100. Too basic for a 95

No sorry but NO. For the record i despise Kanye as an artist, so i am far from unbiased. As a producer i like his work as an MC i think he is terrible.

And don't forget KTSE, which I haven't had the chance to hear yet. Five albums in a month is a pretty big move, even if they are <30mins. These albums have pretty much cemented me back as a Kanye stan, despite the crap he spews on social media. I'm so glad we're moving away from this 3 year wait between albums that seemed to be the norm 10 years ago.

Which of these albums have you listened to? He doesn't even appear as an MC on the majority of songs here.
