Liked it enough to buy it on vinyl. |
Oh hi seth. Remember last week when we were talking about the Abbey Road medley? Well this album has a much, much, much better medley. And it's called Jesus of Suburbia.
(I know, kind of )
On topic, um, yeah this album's great.

Of all-time? That's hard to say for me, but of their best albums here's IMO their best written and orchestrated songs:
American Idiot: Jesus of Suburbia
Dookie: She
Insomniac: Stuart and the Ave.
Nimrod: Nice Guys Finish Last
Warning: Warning (probably my pick for their opus all-time)

Ooh, I like this game. Best song from Green Day's five best albums. Gowi, it's funny that your top song from each album is my #2 song on each album. But here it goes:
Dookie: Longview
Insomniac: Geek Stink Breath
Nimrod: The Grouch
Warning: Church on Sunday
American Idiot: Holiday _________________ on such a winter's day

Those are all basically my runner-up's (see: #2's), lol. Funny how that works out. Well, outside of Geek Stink Breath. I think that one is like lower on Insomniac's high-end for me. I do go back and forth with The Grouch and Nice Guys Finish Last, tho, so. There's that, too.

Touché my friend. Touché.
Also, I wouldn't say it is much, much better. It dynamically isn't better. It musically isn't more diverse... but it does flow nice and is, as I've said, is indeed fantastic, especially for the lyrical content. Conceptually probably on par with the surrealism of Abbey Road (meaning they both have "mature" content) 100/100.

For me it's:
American Idiot: Wake Me Up When September Ends (The whole bloody album is fantastic, but this one for the content)
Dookie: Longview (mostly cause the bass line is killer, She is a strong second)
Insomniac: Brain Stew (partially because of the dance team at my high school had a really cool choreography to this), but actually is the only 100 song on this album for me.
Nimrod: Good Riddance and Hitchin' A Ride tie... can't make up my mind.
Warning: Minority
