Sorry That I think BTH suck but i do and all the snarky comments in the world aren't going to change my mind so there is truly no need to hurl them at me. If you took the time to read the whole original post you'd see that i knew this was not the conventional or majority opinion. But it is mine and comes from 35+ years of listening to Rap music.

99% sure my guess was accurate. I wasn't a user during the "golden era" of BEA though, so someone can correct me if it wasn't.

Without the original chart it's probably pretty contextually meaningless, but there was some elaboration on the term and its origins here.

Most of my friends would listen to as much Outkast as they did UGK. I think it's because the Midwest has never really had any rap that's been more popular than gangsta rap. I mean, all the rappers I could name you from KC are all, I'm basing this off of your term the best I can, non-BAWP albums.

Thanks. So BAWP is a bit like "You don't know anything about Gangsta Rap, if you only listen to critically acclaimed albums!" That's a nuanced put down!!
