And yeah, LZ aren't my cup of tea, but Whole Lotta Love is easily my favourite song by them.

No it isn't. Get a dictionary.
I'm surprised to read all this feedback of Zeppelin II. I haven't listened to it in a long time, but now I'm concerned it won't be as good as I remember next time I revisit it. Thanks BEA.

I still love the album. A lot of these songs were really huge for me growing up, especially as a guitarist. I used to listen to "Heartbreaker" constantly trying to figure out that solo, and "The Lemon Song" was one of the first songs I learned on guitar.
Also, "Bring It On Home" is probably one of my 10 favorite Zeppelin songs. "Moby Dick" might be a bit self-indulgent, but I still find it fun. _________________ 2023 Chart

Bingo!
But this album still gets a whole lotta' love, and understandably so. It is remarkably consistent. And while Plant and Page get all the press, and Bonzo remains well known and appreciated, this album shows what an absolutely essential and integral part of the greatness that is Zep John Paul Jones is on the base. His name should stand right alongside the Ox, Geddy, and Geezer.

And for me it's the bass playing from JPJ, especially in Ramble On and What is and blah blah blah.

Very good, though it's the 3rd best Zeppelin album.
