Not uncommon, actually.

I've seen a number of different criticisms, the most prominent being that he signalled the beginning of artifice over art, or music as commodity, what with his numerous film tie-ins, his penchant for hit-chasing, and his lack of quality control. I've also seen him criticised for his mafia connections and his attempts at political influence (largely for his own benefit). People also point out that his voice wasn't technically as great as some of his peers, though I'd argue that his main strength was in his relatable phrasing anyway.

I'm generally of the opinion that Sinatra (especially - though not exclusively - when paired with Nelson Riddle) is one the the greatest artists off all-time, but I understand and take on board any and all criticisms.
