The next step is for us each to make it through these albums at our own pace. Deadline TBD but I'm thinking between two and four months, depending on everyone's thoughts.
Once you've listened to them all, you will submit your ranking. Your favorite 50 albums of the pool will receive between 50 points and 1 point based on your order. You have the option of designating up to 5 albums to bring up the rear of your ranking, which will then receive -1 point each. The remaining 10-15 albums will receive no points based your ranking.
You don't have to have submitted a list to rank these. Anyone who feels like listening to all 65 is welcome to. _________________ Add me on RYM

Flockaveli by Waka Flocka Flame
This may not be one of the best trap albums, but it's definitely one of the most important (and it's damn good). It represents the apex of the Lex Luger sound, which was an essential part of 2010. Waka is hungry and goes hard as hell over the majestic beats. This is the kind of album that makes you feel like you are a superhero who can do anything when you listen to it at the right moment. A watershed record that continues to influence trappers today, and he hasn't topped it since. _________________ Add me on RYM

tbh it would take me forever to listen to all the albums here. would it be ok to just check two or three songs off the album and then follow up with the 20 or so that really strike me?

Sure. If someone can't listen to all 65 in full but still wants to vote, they can do this:
a) At least sample all 65 albums before voting.
b) Rank all the albums you've heard in full (but if you've heard 50+, only post your top 50). If you've heard 20 in full, your #1 album will receive 20 points instead of 50, and so forth.
c) If you haven't heard all 65 in full, you aren't eligible to give out negative points to any albums. _________________ Add me on RYM

I think people should be encouraged to leave listening notes here as they make their way through the albums. $ months is probably good considering the number of albums.
Maybe we can hav emini-battles of lie-minded albums just to get discussion going.

Absolutely! I will be leaving notes here and there.
And that's a good idea! Want to take charge on that? _________________ Add me on RYM
