oh damn I need to get on those, I haven't heard much of the Edition Wandelweiser stuff since its all physical only usually, so that's cool that that one is more accessible. And I love Hayward's microtonal tuba, I've spent a lot of time with his 2014 release and am eager to hear more of that instrument.
im too lazy to add stuff to the database but heres my top 25
Michael Pisaro - Nature Denatured And Found Again
June Chikuma - Les Archives (yes I know it's archival)
Black To Comm - Seven Horses For Seven Kings
Marja Ahti - Vegetal Negatives
Fennesz - Agora
Dis Fig - Purge
Matmos - Plastic Anniversary
Bass Clef - 111 angelic MIDI cascade
Vanessa Rossetto - you & i are earth
Joe McPhee & John Butcher - At The Hill Of James Magee
Tiger Village - Modern Drummer
Nancy Drone - Displacement
The Dead C - Rare Ravers
Ami Shavit - Yom Kippur 1973
Eric La Casa + Eamon Sprod - Friche : transistion
Myriam Bleau - Lumens & Profits
Gil Sansón / Lance Austin Olsen - Works On Paper
Rian Treanor - ATAXIA
Keith Fullerton Whitman - Generatorss

Thrown on Black to Comm, Fennesz, Matmos, Avey Tare, USA/Mexico, and Kezsler a couple times each and dig (didn't expect to enjoy the Avey Tare so much but I recently saw him live and wanted to check out the recording). Also These New Puritans, Akira Rabelais, and Machinefabreik. Need to snake through the others. Just found out about wandelweiser music recently; haven't listened to anything yet but the concepts behind it seem right up my alley. Will probably introduce myself through Pisaro bit maybe not Nature Denatured.

oh yeah nature denatured may not be the best way in. of what I've heard, the disc of Jurg Frey's String Quartet No. 3 and Unhörbare Zeit is a really nice one if yr digging in there.
I need to spend more time with that Akira Rabelais album, that one was definitely cool too but I'm sorta confused by it as well? havent checked out These New Puritans or Machinefabriek ones out at all, I should though. You might be interested in Myriam Bleau, she has a really cool technique on this where it uses these spinning tops that do motion control on electronic instruments, I guess there's some editing on the album but it's still a pretty cool integration of live performance with crazy sounding electronics.

Man, y'all really love Little Simz, huh? Wish I could understand it. She's like Speech Debelle in a post-Kendrick world. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.

i'm a little miffed.
i mean, speech debelle and little simz are both brits, so i s'pose the comparison there makes sense, but i don't understand the bit about "a post-kendrick world". are rappers supposed to be following kendrick's lead regardless of their backgrounds, personal preferences, etc.?
and besides that, little simz made a great record. what's not to love? _________________ follow me on the bandcamp.

FRKWYS Vol. 15 is out.
per RVNG:
serenitatem, the fifteenth installment of RVNG’s intergenerational FRKWYS series, joins Visible Cloaks with Yoshio Ojima and Satsuki Shibano, trailblazers of the Japanese ambient music scene in the 1980s and 90s. While the music excels on an environmental level familiar in the collective’s individual works, serenitatem reaches unseen stratums — a pure synthesis of artistic vision, technological sophistication, futurist ambition, and, occasionally, ancient polyphony. _________________ follow me on the bandcamp.

Avey's release somehow managed to fly under my radar. It's actually great though. It is Avey at his more "accessible". It also reminds me of Deakin's album, and Water Curses at some points.
Haven't heard many other 2019 albums, but I dig Xiu Xiu's latest
