I thought the Young Thug album was enjoyable, I'll definitely be listening to it again. Also thanks for the rec on that Orville Peck album, I've been looking for a country album with that sound for a while now. His voice is amazing.
If like me you were disappointed with the last two Hold Steady albums, I'm here to tell you that the new one is great. The keys and horns are back, and Craig Finn is great lyrically.

The trio's latest album, A Universe that Roasts Blossoms for a Horse is officially out tomorrow, but you can already give it a listen on their Bandcamp. One of the rare active Slovenian groups that I feel I should aggressively recommend. They play... I guess a sort of a weird avant-folk with more instruments you can count, mostly homemade.
Their previous albums are well worth a listen too.

A new song by Danny Brown has surfaced (unofficially? not sure... there's a casting call for the music video though, so I think it's legit). Quality's meh, but it's listenable.
Sounds like his next record is going to be almost a MadGibbs deal with Q-tip/Danny Brown. New song has a Madvillian-esque vibe to it.
Could see the album dropping early October. Wouldn't be surprised to hear some news about it next week.

And yeah... honestly, good for her. It's a knockout. I could see it landing in my top 100 of the decade. I think it's a great album cover and title, but unfortunately it doesn't match the music Based on the songs, I would've preferred if she went with something more mature, but that's hardly a complaint. The Greatest and Venice Bitch are fantastic showcases of her style.

Same here. I've never cared for her music in the past, I think the highest I've given one of her albums was a 6/10 on Born To Die. I was not expected her to ever mature her sound honestly, much less release something of this quality. It still has her tumblr-esque festival girl style all over it, but the lyrics aren't cringey and the production is stellar. I've always liked her vocals anyways. It's like she took all my quarrels on why I didn't enjoy her past albums, and went and corrected them all. Overall it is a bit long and I would have preferred a bit tighter of a project...but the quality never drops too far. I wouldn't be surprised is it ends up on my decade chart after it grows on me some more. As of now I'm already feeling a 8.5 on it. _________________ Griselda, by Fashion Rebels
