Earl just announced a new release too. REALLY wasn't expecting that.

And what a cover. You'd think it's some Scandinavian black metal project.

Also, it's out tonight Shocked

EDIT: Looks like Earl's finally putting Cookies on a release. Would've fit on his last extremely well...

If these tracks were on Some Rap Songs to beef it up... what a release it would've been. Everything would've fit perfect, especially El Toro Combo Meal.

It's a solid release. Always happy to hear more Earl.

Seconded. Excellent EP, but if Some Rap Songs was 35 minutes instead of 25... Imagine the scenes

If Cookies, El Toro Combo Meal, 74 and OD were on Some Rap Songs (literally anywhere in the tracklisting), it would've boosted it so much. Some Rap Songs biggest flaw is its length... it has the consistency to rival some of the decade's best, just not the girth.

Anyway, October was insanely good for 2019, and probably one of the best months for music in the last few years Laughing Some of my can't miss picks (including Feet of Clay):

Generasian by Lim Kim

EP, bangers.

Let The Sun Talk by Mavi

Album, Earl-esque, jazzy lo-fi bangers. (He's the one with the killer verse on El Toro Combo Meal).

Atlas by Tapan Meets Generation Taragalte

Dance-ish berber Morocco/Serbia collab... it's pretty solid.

Magdalene by FKA Twigs

I feel bad for dishing on Holy Terrain. Fits perfectly on the album. As an overall work, this is probably her best. Really gorgeous album.

Pang by Caroline Polachek

Bangers, again. She's the lead of Chairlift, for those cautious.

The Rabbit That Hunts Tigers by YĪN YĪN

Grooves.

Kar Yağar by Derya Yıldırım & Grup Şimşek

Turkish grooves.

Serotonin II by Yeule

For fans of FKA Twigs. Also, bangers.

Timbuktu - The Music Of Randy Weston by...diane Seck

Self-describing.

Odds Against Tomorrow by Bill Orcutt

Bout as good as anything Bill's ever done.

and finally,

Polyhymnia by Yazz Ahmed

Yazz Ahmed's second album. It's just a joy. Front-to-back stellar work.

And that's just the surface.

Don't know if Bangers is the word to use for Yeule, but good album nonetheless

Also Kiwanauka and Moorer albums are pretty terrific, check 'em out fools

Yin Yin is some nice instrumental 70s film soundtrack stuff.

Need to listen to Bill Orcutt's latest. His particular brand of improvisation has taken me lately.

This album is pretty insane if you like proggy electro-dance neo classical pop music

Veil Of Imagination by Wilderun

Excellent symphonic folk/prog metal with some death elements. I'm really impressed with orchestrations and softer passages on this one. It's a pretty challenging, but also rewarding listen.
