I found out yesterday that Saor released a new album last week. Great atmospheric black metal with tinges of Celtic folk, though I found the Celtic folk was a lot more subtle than on 2014's Aura. Still a great listen for a cold snowy day though.

i've been really into the new allison miller record, no doubt her group's strongest work to date but also just an incredible record. it's a bit on the eccentric side and is one of the odd jazz records featuring violin as a prominent lead instrument. the rhythms jump all over the map without really losing any sense of cohesion, and the group plays so well together. i'm having a hard time finding anything i don't like about the album.
i generally avoid letting jazz records slide into my yearly charts, but i really couldn't resist topping my 2019 off with this. _________________ follow me on the bandcamp.
