Sometimes google results differ from user to user, searching the exact same keywords.

Also I know this isn't super obscure, but I find it hard sometimes to find things I knew existed in the 90s from big bands, like The Smashing Pumpkins (heck even trying to prove Teargarden by Kaleidyscope which was in 2009 was a legit release on a bands website is hard to prove). Or finding a video I know I ha(d)ve for a Foo Fighters or Radiohead thing I know was on the CD and thought it would be easy to find on YouTube... but it's not.

But I'm ok with not having EVERYTHING on the internet. I mean it's convenient, but I'm not sure I like the direction of having everything on the internet, especially with how things are going lately on many different levels.

haha - people are still commmenting on un-google-able bands (as in difficult to search for) instead of bands with easy names to search and just don't have a web presence. Oh well.

Also if you just add the word band after these difficult to google band names like F5 becomes a google search of "F5 Band", and voila... you now probably have a hit.

About half of their songs are up somewhere (otherwise I couldn't have discovered them) but no full albums.

Hi I'm a professional googler, I found this https://www.discogs.com/Lollipop-Factor...se/7777308 and searching for songs off that led me to their myspace page where they appear to have a lot of songs https://myspace.com/lollipopfactory/music/songs

OH yeah, another one which is frustrating, and I'm not going to search this unless I'm on a VPN for obvious reasons, but Teenage Snuff Film by Rowland Howard. I want to buy it, but where? Nowhere.

You can stream it on YouTube, but I'm pretty sure the places where it is uploaded are not legit. (Granted, he's dead, so he doesn't care.)

Also had trouble finding People Are Like Seasons by Sophie. (Another impossible-to-search band name.) But I couldn't even cobble together the whole album without resorting to some live tracks to fill in the gaps.

for the latter, isn't it this? https://open.spotify.com/album/5lVVT0ku5h6n9GYXjayZEy

That’s the album. For me there are no songs on it; it must be available in a different country from me. Do you see songs on it in the US?

ah yeah looks unavailable for me too. well it looks like their webshop https://www.musicglue.com/sophia/ has some new release for sale as digital download, no physical or digital but you could email them via their site http://www.sophiamusic.net/ and ask about that, there could be the same rights issues that keep it greyed out on spotify though. there is someone selling a used cd copy for cheap and a vinyl copy for a very high amount of money via amazon https://www.amazon.com/People-Are-Like-...B0000YWHT8

Cheers Tap Smile I did find the myspace but couldn't get any of the songs to play (I tried in multiple browsers). I thought it was because myspace lost a bunch of audio files due to a server transfer error. Did you manage to get any sound?
