Labelling someone who couldn't even find a way to go on living as a genius is the height of ridiculousness.

Before Cobain's suicide, I said he had issues and his followers are misguided. He then proved me right. Pretty simple, really.

The bottom line here is simply that it makes no sense to hail someone so greatly who ultimately failed in the biggest possible way.

Wow. You really just can't keep away. Sad that I command so much of your attention.

When I opened this thread, I did so only to read others' posts and get their takes. I have said all I have to say and have no need to say any more. I did not wish to stir more controversy and I figured I'd spare anybody else the need to respond to my POV which they might disagree with. I can let it rest.

Shame you are so easily triggered that you trigger off a thread without me even saying anything! I would be honored that you have either saved my quotes or spent the time to re hunt them down. But it's actually kinda' creepy and sad. A little stalker-ish, really.

Even so, I'm going to stick with my original intent and just observe. You, on the other hand, need to seek help.

It was actually an olive branch. You've changed my mind on the issue. Suicide victims are failures. Anybody who put any faith in Curt Kobain was a fool who should've known better, and his suicide was karmic retribution for excitable kids who had the misguided temerity to have a favourite band who weren't as complex or inspirational as Dream Theater.

I'll have to check this out again. It's been a while, but I remember Scentless Apprentice really stuck with me.

I have very happy memories of getting down to Heart Shaped Box, esp the video whenever I heard it at the time. Me and my dropout friends. Must have been 17 or 18 which is probably the ideal age to get into Nirvana
