This is where the Beatles made their huge musical leap.
It's also the best Beatle album; the one that comes the closest to being consistently good, Yellow Submarine being the only truly intolerable blight.

I agree with the previous post. This IS the best album by the Beatles. It's the most consistent overall, with NO filler.

One of those albums basically nobody can/will trash. Almost certainly the best Beatles album song-for-song, not sure why Abbey Road is ranked higher (though I can see preferring Abbey Road as an experience). I can only imagine what it was like to hear this, Blonde and Blonde, and Pet Sounds when they all came out, each pushed popular music forward a significant amount in a short timespan. _________________ It's easier to say "I love you," than "Yours, sincerely," I suppose

Easily 3rd or 4th ranked of their "mature" age.
For me (and likely like stated before, it's about the holistic experience as much as the sum of the parts... but I also think they only started maturing with their song writing, and isn't their best as well... even if a 95 for me).
Tied for first or second place:
Abbey Road & Sgt. Pepper
Tied for 3rd and 4th:
Magical Mystery Tour
Revolver
To put it in another light, I like Simon and Garfunkel's PSR&T more than I do Revolver (also came out in 1966).

Contains probably my two favourite Beatles songs in 'I'm Only Sleeping' and 'Here, There and Everywhere', but also a bunch of songs I just don't care for remotely. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.

I can only imagine, too, since all three are unlistenable. Horses for courses, I guess. _________________ Some New Ordeal (Spotify/iTunes/Deezer)
