I would say this is still my favourite Nirvana album, even if it's not an studio recording. It's just that every song in this live album are classic af; you got what i consider to be the best versions of songs like About a Girl and Come As You Are, and you also got some pretty powerful covers in here like Lake Of Fire, Where Did You Sleep Last Night and The Man Who Sold The World, which again i think they're the best versions of these songs.

And yes, i agree, it might be the greatest Unplugged record of all time.

Yeah, my fav Nirvana album too. Maybe because I'm a bit an old bugger these days. It's a great atmosphere on this record and talk about nailing the covers!

I'll echo what the others say... The best Unplugged album, one of the best Nirvana albums, and really good versions of the covers. Watch the show - you really get an idea of Cobain's charisma.

I used to agree with the sentiments here that it's easily one of their best albums, studio or not. I just cycled through this on my records and while great, it didn't have the charm it once did and was totally more blown away by their studio albums. I wonder if it's the bit I read about Dave Grohl's drumming... idk.

I will agree that it's the covers that make this album. The other thing is that the All Apologies is possibly better. Other than that I prefer the studio versions of these Nirvana songs.

It's not that the renditions are better than their studio counterparts, it's just that the selection of tracks is superb, and this record is not plagued by at least 3-4 average boringish tracks like every Nirvana studio album.
