Perhaps with a bit of peyote I would've voted for Amen Dunes, but with my current state of sobriety I have to go with Julia Holter.

Aviary was one of my favorite albums of the year and Freedom was one of the biggest disappointments. The matchup between these tracks is not even close.

Not mad on either, but the Julia Holter track doesn't sound like a post-lottery-winning Stuart Staples of the Tindersticks presiding over some tepid 90s U2-cum-New-Orderish cast-off, so voted for that.

lol. Diss of the tourney so far. And I know what u mean. Even if it sounds a bit more like Simple Minds' Mid 80s soft rock new wave to these ears. Definitely something that is very familiar.

I LOVE Julia's track so this is an easy win for her.

Julia.

Voted for Julia Holter. Definitely one of the best of the year. She's even better live if you ever have a chance.

The cheesy retro baggy Blue Rose is still better than anything on De-Loused though Laughing
