Not that I disliked that RBCF record, but I couldn't get into it last year. I see the appeal, but they don't have many new ideas on the album and they just seem like another The War On Drugs, but less exciting to me. This song in particular reminds me more of The War On Drugs than probably anything else on the record. It would fit snug on Lost In The Dream, for sure.
Again not bad, but I'm gonna have to stick with Playwright for this match-up. An Air Conditioned Man just doesn't stand out to me as anything original. _________________ Griselda, by Fashion Rebels 2020's Hip-Hop 2020's Country

Hmmm... Really like both of these tracks. Started checking out both albums as a result & they're great too.
Rolling Blackouts reminds me a lot of Parquet Courts with a dash of Sea & cake. Quite good stuff.
Trevor Powers is of Youth Lagoon who I really dig. I highly recommend the first Youth Lagoon album. Psyched he has a new project so will check this album out too.

You know how much I dug the Youth Lagoon debut
To me this is Trevor Powers' second best record just behind the Youth Lagoon debut. The record definitely went under the radar since he released it under a different name. I've been trying to spread the word, its an amazing record start to finish. _________________ Griselda, by Fashion Rebels 2020's Hip-Hop 2020's Country
Two great songs. But An Air Conditioned Man overstayed its welcome a bit, so I'm going for Playwright. Have to check out the album soon. _________________ Add me on RYM
Holy crap I loved that Trevor Powers song! What a great discovery.
I listened to the RBCF album a few times when it came out. It's decent, but I have to agree it has a War on Drugs vibe, not quite my thing. _________________ Some New Ordeal (Spotify/iTunes/Deezer)
I ended up hearing that RBCF track quite a lot on the radio this year, despite neither owning nor listening to a radio. I don't know what that means.
Other song bored me by the end, but its production choices were tons more interesting. Plus, RBCF bored me from the start. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.
