I often cite this as my favorite Zep. To be honest, some days it's II and some days it's IV, but if I had to pick which one is is most of the days it's this. The more acoustic vibe is cool, the variety of music is broader, and among the electric tracks, this one has my all time favorite Zep deep cut, the criminally underappreciated Out on the Tiles.

You know, most Zep albums I appreciate less and less over time, but this is the only one that grows on me more as time passes. Such unique songs and great variety on this album. I still like IV more but I listen to this one the most out of their catalogue.

Any time my crawling baby ventures into the tiled kitchen I start singing "Out On The Tiles". Probably the best part of parenthood so far.

Definitely my fave Led Zepp album it does have huge variety as has already been said. I like the historical references like the invading Vikings in Immigrant Song and the old medieval hangman. Well he is from a much older age anyway! It can be both mellow and rocking. And I like to stomp along to certain tracks.
Of their first 4 albums this is my order of preference:
1. lll
2. lV
3. l
4. ll
And even though it's last I still love Led Zep 2!

Agreed.
My first four ranking:
1. IV
2. III
3. I
4. II
Houses of The Holy would be just below IV if we count them all, and Physical Graffiti probably above or below I. _________________ All time
