I really love this - I think it's their best album.

Mirrored was good but a bit too gimmicky for my liking.

hm .. never thought of't as gimmicky before, though i can see that a bit i s'pose with the pitch-shifting whammy mic, but i don't think it ever wore out its welcome.

so for me, i just think it's a lovely thing.

am also a huge fan of tyondai braxton and his views on the integration of music and machine. eh then, perhaps a little biased, but i find his battles much more interesting than the battles that followed ... a fun band, but not one that demands much from me as the listener and ultimately a little forgettable.

but music is a lovely thing. it speaks to us all in such uniquely different ways.

edit to add: i just realized you deal in sleep. how does that work .. are you doling it out, or is it something you personally are dealing with? not sure how this hasn't come up before. perhaps it has, and i apologize for the redundancy. i am so lacking these days, and i would be remiss to pass up on the opportunity to buy directly from the dealer.

Mirrored is indeed fantastic.

Haven't heard this record... is it on par or considerably less awesome?

i think it's considerably more generic, but i may be in the minority, as i'm finding out.

You could say that Mirrored is watered down compared to their more bleepy and bloopy EPs, if you wanted to, but I think the band is just good regardless. I'm not saying that this one is vastly superior, Race: In is probably my favorite Battles song, but I've returned to it more often.
