I’m a huge fan of Gregory Euclide’s work, and this album introduced me to it. The guy is phenomenal at integrating sculpture/installation with traditional painting techniques. Pretty surreal stuff that I hope to see in person some time.

Used to be my favorite album of all-time when I was 16 or so

Now that I'm 21, I feel like it has aged well with me. It's definitely not an all-time favorite anymore, but it's still one of the best art pop albums of the 2010s

Probably my least favourite Bon Iver album, and a clear midpoint between the first and the third one, but still pretty strong.
Holecene is probably Justin's best ever song and one of the most beautiful songs of the decade.

As much of an expressionist masterpiece as the Gregory Euclide painting that adorns its' cover. We're at the back end of the decade that this album played a part in shaping, and it remains as vital as ever.

Best Songs: "Perth", "Minnesota, WI", "Holocene", "Michicant", "Hinnom, TX", "Calgary", "Beth/Rest"

AMAY all-time ranking: #32

Also, hi, guys. Been a long while.
