Mindblowing that you would pick this classic as aotd. Anyways, this is probably the most musically and stylistically innovative neo-soul album ever released. Arguably the most intense and complete soul voice! This album is still fresh after 20+ years, one of the greatest soul albums as well. Although I prefer Voodoo, this is definitely in my top 50 albums ever plus in my top 10 debut releases. And it exemplifies true art of an individual; doing it all by yourself, so YOU'RE the artist - and it went over better than just well etc.

One week in April, last year, I tried a little challenge, by only listening to one album/set of songs an entire week. I picked this one. It did not disappoint.
