There's some good tracks but overall I'm not a fan.
I mean Imagine and Jealous Guy are great tracks. Classic.
Much prefer Plastic Ono Band album though.

Considering it opens with the most overrated song in music history, I never bothered to get to know the rest of it.

You aren't missing out on a ton. I'm not a fan of side a and largely agree with you about the title track. But I like most of side b. Tracks 7 and 10 are cheesy, sweet love songs.

The title track still cuts deep if you let it.

I also prefer Plastic Ono Band, but some of these tracks are fantastic.

Imagine, Crippled Inside, Jealous Guy, Gimme Some Truth, and How are 90 and above tracks, but all the rest are 85s for me. Overall top notch album.

How is an incredibly emotional track, even if the string arrangement makes it feel a bit 70s, the lyrics cut deep.

I remember my brother got me this, but I grew up on the soundtrack of the same name and he thought it was the same thing... both are fantastic.

At Primary School we had to sing secular "hymns" in assembly, and our headteacher's favourite was 'Imagine'. I probably would've hated it regardless of that, but being forced to sing a song against your will twice a week as a child will really ruin it for you.

Is it fook. “How Do You Sleep?” aside it does zilch for me, and don’t get me started on what I think of the title track. Seem to recall I sold my copy for £1 at a car boot sale, and on reflection thought I did well to even get that for it.

Pretty much solid gold tripe.

As someone else said, side B is pretty consistently great throughout, I think Oh My Love is especially beautiful.
Also, Imagine, however overplayed it may be, is still a great song. Never been one of my favourites, but it's great. Same goes for Jealous Guy.

I guess only tracks 4 and 5 are a bit weaker than the rest.
