LP1 by FKA Twigs

Today's anniversary is a fantastic album, and an underrated one. Ahead of its time sonically, immaculately produced, and one of the sexiest records ever. Aging like fine wine.

Unfortunately, this feature will only cover albums released from 2004 and after.

Confused

That's right. Because from 2004 to recent have actual moments of time.

People are welcome to talk about anniversaries that aren't on the front page in this thread.

And what if we succeed in eliminating the backlog of missing release dates? Is it possible that the database coverage could then be expanded back one year at a time?

I'd be happy to pitch in adding release dates to any of my pre-'04 entries.

Classic jazz would be hell, though. Lots of the release dates listed on Wikipedia and AllMusic are actually the recording dates. I usually find Discogs to be the most accurate for jazz -- at least when they list multiple versions -- but Discogs often doesn't list day and month, especially for older albums.

Wow, two FKA Twigs anniversaries in a row. I don’t like this one quite as much, but it’s still a really great EP that more people should check out.

Writer's Block by Peter Bjorn & John

Today's anniversary is a good album with some great indie pop songs (the most popular being Young Folks), but it hasn't aged particularly well. Doesn't help that the rest of their output has been blasé.
